At Prox Rentals, you can rent a sports car if you are 23 or older. Drivers aged 20 to 22 need management approval. We do not rent to drivers under 20.
The same rule applies to every car we rent. A sports car, an SUV and an economy sedan all follow it.

There is no separate, higher age for sports cars. You do not need to check a different rule for each model.
Why Age Rules Differ Between Companies
Each rental company in Dubai sets its own age rule. That is why you may see different answers online.
Some companies set one rule for normal cars and a stricter one for fast cars. We keep it simple, with one rule for the whole fleet.
Always check the rule with the company you book with. Ask before you pay anything.
If You Are 20 to 22
You can still rent with us. Your booking needs management approval first.
Tell us your age when you message us. Our team will ask management and reply to you. A person handles this, not a form.
Please wait for the approval before you plan your day around the car.
Additional Drivers
Want someone else to drive too? Additional drivers are approved by management before the rental.
The same age rule applies to them. Send their details along with yours when you book.
Documents You Need
Age is one part. You also need the right documents.
Tourists
- Passport.
- A valid driving license.
You can drive on any license the RTA accepts on the day. You can also drive on an International Driving Permit together with your home license.
UAE Residents
- Emirates ID, front and back.
- A UAE driving license.

Sports Cars You Can Rent
If you meet the age rule, these sports cars are open to you:
- Mini Cooper JCW 2026: AED 363 a day + 5% VAT
- Volkswagen Golf R 2024: AED 450 a day + 5% VAT
- Mercedes-Benz CLE 200 Cabriolet 2025: AED 579 a day + 5% VAT
- Mustang GT: Rate on WhatsApp
- Audi RS3: Rate on WhatsApp

Other Things to Know
A refundable security hold applies to daily and weekly rentals. It is AED 1,000 for UAE residents and AED 1,500 for tourists.
The hold goes on a credit card, or you can pay a cash deposit instead. Debit cards are not accepted.
All our cars are fully insured. Our team confirms the excess for your car before you book.
