To rent a sports car in Dubai safely, choose a company that explains every cost before you book. Check the car at handover, follow the traffic rules and know how insurance works. These simple steps keep the day fun and free of surprises.
1. Choose a Clear, Honest Rental Company
Your rental starts with the company you pick. Look for one that shares its prices, rules and terms up front.
Be careful with deals that look too good to be true. Ask what the final bill can include before you pay.
At Prox Rentals, there are no hidden charges. Every cost is shared with you before you book. Your bill can include only the rate, 5% VAT, Salik crossings, traffic fines from your rental and extra kilometers above your allowance.

2. Bring the Right Documents
- Tourists: passport and a valid driving license. You can drive on any license the RTA accepts on the day, or on an International Driving Permit together with your home license.
- UAE residents: Emirates ID (front and back) and a UAE driving license.

Our age rule is the same for every car. You can rent at 23 or older. Drivers aged 20 to 22 need management approval. We do not rent to drivers under 20.
3. Check the Car at Handover
Do not rush off. Take a few minutes to look over the car with our staff.
- Walk around it and look for scratches or dents.
- Take photos or a short video on your phone.
- Check the tires look in good shape.
- Make sure the air conditioning works.
- Look for warning lights on the dashboard.
Point out anything you see before you drive away. Fuel is full to full, so check the tank is full too.
4. Follow the Traffic Rules
Dubai’s traffic rules are strict, and cameras enforce them. Speed limits change from road to road, so watch the signs.
A sports car feels quick, so it is easy to go faster than you think. Stay calm and drive within the limit.
Wear your seatbelt, and do not use a phone while you drive. Park only where parking is allowed.
If you get a fine, we bill it at actual amount. No markup, no admin fee. No black points on your license. Salik is charged at the current RTA rate for each crossing, with nothing added.
5. Know How Insurance Works
All our cars are fully insured.
If the police report shows an accident was not your fault, you pay nothing towards it. If it is your fault, you pay an excess based on the car. Our team confirms the excess for your car before you book.
After an accident, call the police and get a police report. Then call or WhatsApp us. Our public relations officer helps with the police and the paperwork.
We also offer 24/7 roadside assistance with a replacement car.
6. Know Your Mileage and Hold
Sports cars are in our luxury tier. Daily rentals include 200 km a day, and each extra km costs AED 4.85.
A refundable security hold applies to daily and weekly rentals. It is AED 1,000 for UAE residents and AED 1,500 for tourists. It goes on a credit card, or you can pay a cash deposit instead.
